Visual Arts Department Index

Welcome, come study the visual arts.

The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Visual Arts offers five concentrations of study: Art History, Digital Art & Design, Painting & Drawing, Printmaking, and Sculpture. Students learn to think visually as they learn the context of art of different cultures, study different media, become familiar with visual language, and acquire knowledge of expressive techniques. Students become skilled at articulating the conceptual and aesthetic relevance of works of art, as well as build their repertoire of necessary professional skills within their discipline of choice.

Program graduates pursue advanced degrees or other courses of study, and/or become professional artists, graphic designers in print or new media, painters, printmakers, sculptors, or professionals in art galleries and museums.
