Crime Advisory

November 16, 2015

A student living on Chestnut Street reported to the Willimantic Police Department that her residence was entered by on Friday (11/14/2015) at 2:30 A.M. by an unknown intruder. She was sleeping at the time and awoke to see the male suspect in her room. The student then woke her roommate and another guest to see the intruder leave the home without a confrontation. Various items were taken from the residence.  No one was injured during the incident. The Willimantic Police are investigating. THIS IS A REMINDER TO KEEP YOUR DOORS AND WINDOWS SECURED NO MATTER WHERE YOU RESIDE.

A suspicious person has been seen on campus and just off campus in the area of Windham and Prospect Streets. The individual has approached students on several occasions and has followed them asking them for a cigarette.  He has not made physical contact with anyone that we are aware of.  The person was described as a White male, about 25 years old, scruffy facial hair, wearing a black or dark grey hoodie with white “Aeropostale” lettering and jeans. Please contact the University Police if you happen to see this person.
