20 February 2013: Hurricane Sandy and the Rhode Island Coastline – Presentation given to the Newport County Saltwater Fishing Club on the effects of Hurricane Sandy and the Rhode Island coastline, with an emphasis on coastal access and shoreline change.

8 April 2013: Geological History and Sea Level Rise in Southern New England –  Instructional presentation given as part of the Submerged Paleocultural Landscapes Workshop sponsored by University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography, Narragansett Indian Tribal Historic Preservation Office and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography,

24 September 2013: The Shoreline Change Special Area Management Plan: Erosion and Inundation Mapping – Project update presentation to the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council, Providence, RI.  This talk centered on updates to the ongoing Shoreline Change Special Area Management Plan project (www.beachsamp.org)

16 October 2013: The Shoreline Change Special Area Management Plan: Erosion and Inundation Mapping – Presentation to Governor Lincoln Chaffee and staff, Providence, RI.  The purpose of this talk was to brief the Governor of Rhode Island, the director of the Department of Administration, and the Governor’s staff on the status and initial findings of the ongoing Shoreline Change Special Area Management Plan project (www.beachsamp.org).

7 November 2013: Storm Driven Shoreline Migration and Sea Level Rise – Presentation to the Rhode Island State Agency Sea Level Rise Working Group.  Instructional presentation geared to professionals from a number of different state agencies who are examining the effects of sea level rise

21 November 2013: Engineering in the context of storm driven shoreline migration and sea level rise – Presentation to the Ocean Engineering Seminar – Graduate School of Oceanography, University of Rhode Island.  Presentation made to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty members and the general public, as part of a weekly engineering seminar.
