Economics Department Index

Students in the Economics program learn the impact of economic issues, society, and government affairs. The program emphasizes a cross-disciplinary perspective and the development of the analytical, communication, and quantitative skills graduates need to be effective after graduation. Depending on their career goals and interests, Economics majors take a combination of courses in economics and other disciplines in order develop applied skills in the areas of business economics orĀ general economics.

Recent graduates hold positions in financial institutions, government and social agencies, consulting firms, and corporations. Economics also is an excellent major for students who plan to pursue graduate studies in law, public policy, or economics, or for those who intend to pursue careers as teachers.
