Certified Financial Analysts Panel

Certified Financial Analysts (CFA’s) will be speaking in the Johnson Room to students and faculty about their experience in the financial sector. Speakers will include Gail Bruhn, MBA, CPA – a retired senior financial executive with background in asset management in the insurance (CIGNA, AETNA/AELTUS/ING) and banking (Webster Bank) industries, Leslie L. White, CFA – President and founder of Troika Investment Advisors, LLC, and Daniel W. Keating, CFA – Senior Wealth Strategist at UBS with over 25 years of investment management and financial services industry experience.

Connecticut Skills Programming Challenge

The Connecticut Skills Challenge provides tech savvy students with the opportunity to get noticed! Through participation in the Connecticut Skills Challenge (coding contest) students from universities and colleges are tested on their coding skills. Get Hired gathers regional, national and globally recognized insurance and financial services companies in a single Hartford venue to meet college students seeking opportunities in Connecticut’s IFS industry. Students from academic institutions across Connecticut turn out to market their talents and many attendees hail from colleges and universities beyond Connecticut’s borders. Vans from Eastern will be provided for transportation.

The Center for Internships and Career Development is hosting the Graduate School Fair on Thursday, Oct 2, from 1-4 p.m. in the Betty R. Tipton Room. The fair is held each fall semester to help students apply for graduate programs. Graduate programs from around the region attend, including representatives from other institutions around the state. Even if graduate school is a few years away, the fair provides helpful information in helping our students plan and prepare for graduate school. Click here
